In the name of God, Amen
I Woodward Alexander Boyd of “Redbud” Frederick County State of Virginia, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make,
publish, and declare this to be my last will and Testament. First - I order and direct any Executors, as soon after my
decease as practicable, to pay off and discharge all debts, dues, and liabilities that may exist against me at the time of my decease.
Second - I give and bequeath unto my Sons John A. David J. Henry P. William S. & Levi P. Boyd each the sum of one dollars. And unto my
daughter Alice V. Yeakley I give and bequeath the sum of fifty dollars. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Elizabeth Boyd one
third of my personal property after my debts, and former legacies have been paid - and to my two sons Robert L. and Charles E. Boyd
the remaining two thirds divided equally. I hereby nominate and appoint Robert L. and Charles E. Boyd
as my Executors without security - In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this the 21st day of May 1888

The above and foregoing instrument was at the date thereof signed, sealed, published, and declared, by the said Woodward A.
Boyd, as and for his last Will and Testament, in presence of us, who at his request, and in his presence, and in the presence
of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses. Daniel Stone, “Red bud” Frederick Co Va Theophilus Heoffman Redbud Frederick Co. Va
Virginia, Frederick County, To-wit:
At a county court began and held for Frederick county, Virginia, on Monday, August the 6th 1888, the last will and testament of
Woodward A. Boyd, dec’d, was produced to the and proved by the oaths of
Daniel Stone & Theophilus Heoffman subscribing witnesses thereto and
ordered to be recorded; and on motion of Robt. L. & Chas E. Boyd the
executors therein named, who made oath according to law, certificate for
obtaining a probate thereof in due form is granted them on their giving bond, &c., whereupon they together without security, agreeable to the
provisions of the will, entered into and acknowledged bond in the penalty
of $4000.00 conditioned according to law and took the prescribed oath.
