Mr. and Mrs. L. E. (Lark) Boyd

Bosque County, TX

I have a copy of this old paper at home and I ran this in one of the geneology and history columns I write for the local newspaper.  I had saved it thinking maybe they might connect to my Boyd family......no luck so far.  But I thought you might want to have it in the miscellaneous Boyd info, since they were married in 1896 .....someone might find some use for the information included...or you might have an idea of what family they belong to.

This appeared in the August 23, 1946 issue of the Meridian Tribune, in Meridian, Bosque County, TX

Mr. and Mrs. L. E. (Lark) Boyd, former Bosque County residents, celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, Tuesday, August 6, with an open house and dinner at the home of their daughter Mrs. J. W. Watts, 807 S. Ravima, Dallas.

Those present were Mrs. Mildred Gray and son, Dale of Duncan Okla, Mr and Mrs. G. W. Anderson and sons of Ft. Worth, Miss Wenona Finstad of Cranfills Gap and Ft. Worth, Miss Doris Lanerne Gustafson of Cranfills Gap, Elder E. L. Kemp and daughters, Misses Floy and Mary, Mrs. J. L. Trammel and children, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Watts, Mr. and Mrs. John Boyd and son J. C., Mr. Vernon, Mr and Mrs. Elvis Loader and daughter Yevonne all of Dallas. A good dinner and a good time was enjoyed by all. Mr and Mrs Boyd received a number of nice gifts for which they were grateful. May they have many more anniversaries together.

Thanks to LaDawn Garland, Bosque County, TX
