Funeral Services for Mr. John Prince Boyd, 102, of Pittsburg, Camp Co.
TX. were at 2 PM Sunday December 20, 1992 in the Beaty Funeral Home
Chapel, Winnsborough, with the Rev. Joe Bass officiating. Burial
was in
Liberty Cemetery in Franklin County, under the direction of Beaty
Funeral Home, Winnsborough. He was born June 3, 1890 in Delta
County.
He was a cattleman and farmer. He was also a member of the Cypress
Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons: John Prince Boyd Jr,
Monticello, Jack D. Boyd, Scroggins, seven daughters, Ellen Hankins and
Mexie Butler, both of Quitman; Sally Skidmore, Wagoner; Eldred Princess
Brock and Judith Worth, both of Scroggins, Norma Ruth Coursey, Saganow;
and Betty Ann Boyd, Pittsburg, 26 grand children and a host of great
grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren. Pallbearers
were Billy Boyd, David Boyd, Stephen Boyd, Michael Butler, John Brock,
Bill Brock, Deryl Worth, and Lonnie Dale Coursey. Burial: Liberty
Cemetery, Franklin Co. TX.
