James and Eleanor Coe Boyd


Boyd, Francis Marion (1844-1900), son of James and Eleanor Coe Boyd, born in Kentucky on the 25th day of July, 1844. Marion and his brother Jasper, migrated to Grayson Co., Texas in the mid 1870's. Francis Marion owned a mercantile store in the town of Montague. He died of pneumonia March 11, 1900.

Boyd, William Marion, was born September 27, 1840 in Tennessee. He had four children with his first wife Laminda Moore, daughter of Indimen Moore of White Co., TN. After her death he married Mrs. Nancy Melvina Thaxton Sissom of Warren County, TN.. With her three children and his four they moved to Montague Co. in the 1870's. His children are: Lydia Lou, Lawson Carrick, Indimen, and Robert Tillman.

Boyd, Robert Tillman A. was the son of the above William Marion Boyd. He married Annie Worley, May 16, 1895.

Boyd, Robert Paul, son of the above Robert Tillman A. Boyd, married Lillian Hurley December 24, 1923 in Montague Co.  “Story of Montague County, Texas, It’s Past and it’s Present”.
