The following comes from: Vol. 3 Genealogical and personal history of 
western Pennsylvania; editor-in-chief, John W. Jordan. New York: Lewis 
Historical Publishing Company, 1915.

John Boyd was born near Pittsburgh and followed the calling of a farmer. 
He married Rachel Waters, daughter of the Reverend Samuel Waters. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd were the parents of the following children: John, Eliza, Nancy, 
Charlotte, William, Jane, Samuel, Andrew, Stephen, and James Gray.

Only one birth date for one of the children:
James Gray Boyd, son of John and Rachel Waters Boyd was born 02 Apr 1821, in Westmoreland county, PA.

Long Run Presbyterian Cem. North Huntingdon Twp; Westmoreland Co; PA

Long Run Cemetery is located in North Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland 
County. Across from Norwin Town Square. Is divided into 3 sections. The 
first section is known as the Old Section. Many stones are in bad condition.

Boyd John died 06 May 1840 aged 78 yrs - has Rev War Marker.
Boyd Rachel died 29 Oct 1848 aged 68 yrs - wife of John Boyd

Other Boyd's buried there:

Boyd Henry 12 May 1851 aged 79 yrs
Boyd Margaret Oct 1798 aged 25 yrs, wife of Henry
Boyd Nancy 14 Jun 1838 aged 58, wife of Henry
