Eliza Price Boyd / Charles A. Lord

Richardson Co; NE (see corrections below)

CHARLES A. LORD / JOSHUA S. LORD married, July 2, 1884, ELIZA PRICE BOYD. Three children were born to their marriage, VERA, HAROLD, and MILDRED M. LORD. Charles A. Lord was born at Rushville, Schuyler County, Illinois, March 21,1868, and was the eleventh in order of birth of the twelve children born to Joseph and ANNA (BOYD) Lord.  Mrs. Anna (BOYD) Lord was born in Missouri and was a representative of the Boyd family that settled at Booneville, that state, at the time the great frontiersman, Daniel Boone, founded that town. The Boyd family was early founded in Virginia. After their marriage Joseph and Anna (BOYD) Lord continued their residence at Rushville, Illinois, until October, 1868, when, with their eleven children, they set forth with teams and two covered wagons to establish a home in the new State of Nebraska, which had been admitted to the Union in the preceding year. Joseph Lord became the owner of 200 acres of land three miles south of Salem, Richardson County, and there reclaimed and developed a productive farm, both he and his wife having been honored pioneer citizens of Nebraska at the time of their death and both having endured their full share of the labors and hardships that marked the pioneer era.

Looks like we have an error in the above book. Charles A. Lord married Nellie Malone on December 27, 1891 in Salem. Richardson County, Nebraska as shown by census reports and Mrs. Francis Beaton, a family researcher. See census reports below.

-----Joshua H., Son, W, M, 11 Nov 1892, 11 single, NE/IL/MO
-----Mildred M., Dau, W, F, 5 Oct 1895, 4, single, NE/IL/MO
These census numbers don't make sense. If Joshua H. was born 1892 he couldn't be 11 on the 1900 census!!. He was seven or eight. And that tells me that Harold on the 1910 census  below is probably Joshua H.  and rather than be called Junior went by his middle name Harold which was common then.
