I recently saw the page posted on your Clan Boyd website, under "Missouri Boyds", entitled "Boyd burials, Halleck Cemetery, Halleck, Buchanan Co., MO.".  This is precisely the Boyd family that I am researching.  In fact, seeing this posted on your website is what prompted me to join the Clan Boyd Rootsweb Discussion List last week. I am preparing to send in a submission to the group, hopefully later today, but decided to send one first directly to you in case this submission came from one of your members who do not use e-mail.  If so, perhaps you could direct me to them or direct them to me.

You may want to post the following information on that page to clarify the relationships of those buried in Halleck Cemetery for others to use in their research.  I am a descendant of this Bolden Boyd and his first wife Dora Lena Boyd - my great-grandparents on my mother's side.  The following came from our Boyd Family Bible and the research of others in my Boyd family.

J. Seneca Boyd (full name John Seneca) was married to Mary Ella Boyd (maiden name was James).  Bolden Boyd (full name John Bolden) was their first son and W.C. Boyd (full name William Columbis, nicknamed Lum) was their second son. They may have had at least two daughters: Eliza (Boyd) Pickeral and Bertha Neva (Boyd)  Cawley - still researching that.

Bolden married twice.  Dora L. Boyd ( full name Dora Lena, maiden name Foster) was his first wife and they had two children:  John Otis and Ernest Everett (my grandfather).  Barbara Louise Boyd (maiden name Schoenhafer)  was Bolden's second wife, and they had one child:  Dora Mae (Boyd) Miller.  The child named Dorothy Boyd who is buried there was Bolden's granddaughter, the second child of Ernest Everett Boyd.

W. C. Boyd (Lum) Boyd was married to Lucy Boyd (maiden name unknown).  To our knowledge they had only one son named Willie who never married.

The only name I cannot place is Mamie V. Boyd.  I am sending snail-mail to my Aunt in Saint Joseph to see if she can help me with this person.

I have no information at all about the ancestry of J. Seneca or Mary Ella Boyd.
Any information or contacts anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
