18. T.G. Boyd: Married and moved to LaGrange, Troup Co, Ga.  There were several children: James Harvard, Virginia & T.G., Jr. Don't know if there were other children.  He separated or divorced and he moved to Detroit, Mich.  where he met Dora Guerstonlaugher who had a daughter named Ruby Boyd.  He belonged to Temple Baptist Church in Detroit and played saxophone in their band. A photo of the band shows him standing beside Dora. After marriage and living there for some years (we think he worked for an auto mfg co maybe GMC????) they moved to Atlanta and bought a farm in Fairburn, Fulton Co., GA. Don't believe they ever lived there except maybe on week ends.  His health got worse and he died and is buried at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Mandeville, Ga. between Carrollton and Bremen, Ga. (Carroll Co.). Perhaps the church has a record of the date of death. He is buried by John Henry Boyd. John Henry had T.G.'s initials put on a rock as a headstone but over the years it has disappeared. T.G.'s funeral was handled by J Austin Dillon Funeral Home on Pryor St. in Atlanta.  It's no longer in operation, but perhaps records could be obtained. An undated letter addressed to 'Granddaddy' (presumably John Henry Boyd) and signed 'James and Margaret' has the address: 1001 Truitt Ave., Lagrange, GA. on it. The letter indicates that they have written to Dora but gotten no response. There is a photo with the letter of a man in a Stetson hat (James?).
