Matilda Boyd / William Carroll

The "100th Anniversary, Rock Springs Church 1861-1961 Kingsport, TN"..
The Carroll's first came to the Rock Springs Community from Maryland in the
late seventeen hundreds.

William Carroll was born in 1802 and died in 1862. He was a farmer by trade.
His wife, Matilda Boyd, a daughter of James Boyd, was born in 1819 and died
in 1867..They had one son, William R. Carroll, born October 7, 1838 and died
on March 1, 1896. This is to the contrary that earlier in the book said that the Carroll's came from VA late 1700s.. (I have lots more info dec. from William R. Carroll) But what I need is the parents and siblings of the William Carroll b. 1802...thinking I can connect My George Carroll b. abt 1800-1815 (census
confused) in VA to that branch. My George was married to a Sarah unk...lived
in Sullivan County, Tn in 1850...not sure when he moved to that area. I'm
thinking that it was Shenadoah Valley where John Boyd was from that could be where these Carroll's of Va could also be from... Does anyone have any Connection to the William and Matilda Boyd Carroll with ascending information??? Who was his parents and Siblings???
