Hello Richard,
14 Feb 2009
A fellow Boyd sent me the link to your site. I followed the link to
your site and found my ancestors and what appears to be a link that you have
not been able to research as yet so I thought I would offer to update one
line of your research.
My lineage is as follows from my friend's research:
It looks like Oswell Boyd was the son of John Haskell Boyd. J. Haskell Boyd
was the son of Darius Millard Boyd. Darius was the son of David L. Boyd, and
David (b. 1823 TN) was the son of Jeremiah (b. 1789 VA) and Susannah (nee
Keicher/Kyker) Boyd.
My father is Charles Coleman Boyd born in Posey Co, Indiana 28 July1941
Sister Charlotte Boyd (nee Melone) born 24 Dec 1943 or 44
Sister Barbara died at birth
Their parents are/were Oswell Curtis Boyd and Frances Rozell Hughes (now
Scott). Oswell Curtis died in 1974, Frances is still alive and living in
Holiday, FL and approaching 90.
You can see the descendants prior to Oswell Curtis above, but if you would
like info on the offspring of Oswell C. and Frances Rozell please let me
know and I can add to what you have. Thank you for your research. I have
always wondered about my father's side of the family as they have always
been murky and unknown to any of us.
