James Boyd ( no dates) m. Elizabeth McCullogh and had issue. From the
Ballynure area.
#1 Thomas Boyd b. abt 1823, m. 16 Sept. 1845, Ballynure to Margaret
Weatherup b. 7 Nov. 1823, Ballynure. We have info on 6 children; Samuel,
James, Eliza Jane, Mary Ellen, David and Thomas.
#2 Elizabeth Ann b. abt. 1831, m. 16 Dec. 1851 to John Davison b. 1829 in
Ballynure.
#3 James Boyd b. 30 July 1827,Ballynure, d. 27 Dec. 1879 in
the Commons, Carrickfergus.
m. 16 Dec 1850, Ballynure Pres. Church to Anne Weatherup b. 3 Jan. 1829 in
Ardboley. d.31 Mar. 1869 in Middle Division. We have complete info on 9
children; William, David, James, Margaret, Mary Jane, Robert, Thomas, Mary
and Alexander.
Alexander Boyd b. 9 Jan. 1868 in Middle Division. D. 5 Jan.
1924 in Belfast. Buried. City Cem. Belfast. m. 18 Feb 1889 at St. Anne’s
Cathedral, Belfast to Eliza McDowell b. 23 July 1870 Woodburn, Carrickfergus,
d. 6 Feb 1940. Buried in the Belfast City Cem. We have detailed info on 13
children; John McDowell Boyd, Alexander, James , Thomas, Robert, Martha,
Mary, Maggie Jane, David, Samuel, William, Sydney, and Lizzie.
Samuel Boyd b.20 Aug. 1905 in Belfast. d. 20 Nov. 1988 and
buried at Roselawn cem. In Belfast. m. on 25 Feb. 1925 at Richview Church,
Belfast to Sarah Isobella Todd b. 29 May 1907 in Belfast and d. 26 Mar. 1974
in Terrace Bay, Ontario, Canada. Emigrated to Canada. Samuel remarried to
Eleanor McAllister who d. Feb 2002 in Carrickfergus. We have detailed info
on 5 children; Elizabeth, Samuel, Mary Jane, Sarah Isobella, and Alexander.
Elizabeth Boyd is my husband’s mother. She came to Canada as a war
bride. We have all the info to present.
