Ernest Boyd Dublin, Ireland Ernest Boyd, Editor,
translator, critic, and essayist, was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1887. He was educated privately, reading much in French
literature and later attending school in Switzerland and Germany.
In 1910 he became a member of the editorial staff of the Irish Times in
Dublin as a dramatic critic and political reporter. He entered the
consular service of Great Britain and was stationed in Baltimore for a while.
After his resignation from that service in 1920 Boyd made his residence in New
York City and began to contribute articles to American magazines.
He wrote editorials for the New York Evening Post and the
