Hello Richard,

I have an uncle, Adam Lilly Boyd, who died in Sydney, Nova Scotia, however,
I do not know the date of his death. Below is the information I have on Adam:

Adam Lilly Boyd, son of John Boyd/Elizabeth Aitken McKay born 19 Aug 1901, Lanark, Scotland, moved to Nova Scotia around 1906. Adam married Hilda Bezanson, don't know the date, Adam/Hilda did not have any children. Adam was found dead in his car due to a heart attack probably in the early 1950's.

Any information on the above would be appreciated.

John Boyd born 22 Feb 1873 Motherwell, Lanark, Scotland died 15 Jun 1925, Gary, Indiana Scotland son of Thomas Boyd born 26 Jan 1845, Cleoghorn, Lanark, died 21 Sep 1916 Mossend, Lanark Scotland and Barbara Henderson Miller born 24 Jan 1839 Caithness, Scotland died 4 Oct. 1916 Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland.

John married Elizabeth Aitken McKay born 6 Mar 1881, Bellshille, Lanark, Scotland, died 19 Apr 1955, Gary, Indiana. They were married 7 Jun 1899

John/ Elizabeth were on the McAlpine's Nova Scotia Directory, 1907. They had 4 children before coming to Nova Scotia & 4 born in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

John/Elizabeth were on the 1911 Census for Nova Scotia district Cape Breton South as well as their 6 of their children.

John/Elizabeth had a son Thomas born 1 Jan 1900, Scotland who died 12 Dec 1967 in Brick, Ocean New Jersey. I do not know when Thomas left Canada.

John/Elizabeth went to Gary, Indiana abt 1924, John died Jun 1925

John had a brother Renwick "Rennie" Boyd who came to the states 10 July 1921. He lived in Il for a while then settled in CA. Rennie died in Atascadero, CA 29 May 1968.

John's sister, Isobel, born 1882 married John Frank MacKay who also lived in Canada. I do not have information on Isobel.
