Simon Donald Boyd of Merton

Simon Donald Rupert Neville Lennox-Boyd, 2nd Viscount Boyd of Merton was born on 7 December 1939. He is the son of Alan Tindal Lennox-Boyd, 1st Viscount Boyd of Merton and Lady Patricia Florence Susan Guinness. He married Alice Mary Clive, daughter of Major Meysey George Dallas Clive and Lady Mary Katherine Pakenham, on 24 July 1962.

He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England. He graduated from Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1962 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). He graduated from Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1966 with a Master of Arts (M.A.). He was deputy -chairman of Arthur Guinness & Sons between 1981 and 1986. He succeeded to the title of 2nd Viscount Boyd of Merton, of Merton-in-Penninghame, County Wigtown [U.K., 1960] on 8 March 1983. He lived in 2003 at 9 Warwick Square, London, England. He lived in 2003 at Ince Castle, Saltash, Cornwall, England.
